Who can apply?

Moot court teams consist of three to five members. Law students (and students enrolled in subjects related to public international law) from the University of Freiburg who are starting at least their 3rd term in September 2019 are eligible to apply. Fluency in the English language, both oral and written, is crucial. Having knowledge of public international law is an asset, but not required. A crash course will be held for the entire team before the competition starts.

How to apply:

The following documents are required:

  • Letter of motivation in the English language
  • Curriculum Vitae
  • Copies of university certificates/the graduation certificate from school
  • Language certificates (if you have them)

Applications should be addressed to Ms Elisabeth Andersen. Submission via e-mail is preferred ( Applications submitted on paper will not be returned.

If you plan to also apply for spots on other Moot Court teams, we kindly ask you to indicate this in your application. Doing so will have no effect on the selection process, but it will help us in organizational matters.

The deadline for written applications is June 13th, 2019. Interviews are scheduled for the week of June 17th, 2019 and may be held via Skype if candidates are still abroad.
